While our Standard Board & Train programs are designed for dogs that need obedience, manners, confidence building, and better communication, our Behavior Modification program is specifically for dogs displaying reactive or aggressive behaviors. This may include lunging, growling, barking, resource guarding, fear-based behaviors, or a history of biting people or other animals. These cases require a much different training approach, additional safety protocols, and significantly more one-on-one evaluation and customized rehabilitation.
Behavior modification is far more then just "more obedience." It involves identifying the root cause of the behavior, carefully changing the dog's emotional response through structured training, and teaching both the dog a different way to respond, and the owner how to safely manage and prevent future issues. Because every case is unique, these programs are highly individualized and often require additional time and follow-up compared to our standard training programs. Our goal is both a dog that follows commands, and one that is safer, more confident, and better equipped to succeed in the real world.
These programs have the same standards as our standard board and trains, but also more advanced equipment such as muzzles when needed.

Traditional shock collars not used in any training or allowed in classes.
Vibration, citronella burst, low level medical grade TENS and similarly veterinarian approved distance communication tools are used only as appropriate and never as a punishment. Each dog and owner is assessed individually for the best combination for their skill and goals.
